Position Overview:
RSEC Academy is seeking a certified Special Education Teacher to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to meeting the diverse needs of students with learning, emotional, and behavioral challenges in a small school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students in grades 5–12
Provide direct instruction in core academic subjects, differentiated to meet individual student needs
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including counselors, speech-language pathologists, and support staff
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
Communicate regularly with families and sending school districts
Create a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment
Qualifications:
Valid NH Certification in Special Education (or ability to obtain)
Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field (Master’s preferred)
Experience working with students with a range of disabilities including emotional/behavioral disorders, ADHD, and learning disabilities
Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
