RSEC Academy seeks a dedicated and compassionate English teacher to support students in grades 5–12. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, collaborative environment with small class sizes and a total student enrollment of 34. Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging English language arts instruction tailored to students' individualized education plans (IEPs)
Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction based on individual learning needs
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports academic and social-emotional growth
Collaborate with special education specialists, school counselors, and families to ensure coordinated, comprehensive support
Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to instructional planning
Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with special education requirements
Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities
Required Qualifications
Valid New Hampshire teaching credential in English Language Arts or related field
Demonstrated experience teaching students with varying educational disabilities and learning needs
Strong knowledge of instructional strategies for diverse learners, including differentiation and scaffold techniques
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Collaborative mindset with a positive, flexible attitude
Ability to work effectively in a small-school environment with a commitment to school culture and mission
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with special education curriculum and practices
Familiarity with assistive technology and educational accommodations
Background in working with adolescents and pre-adolescents
Experience supporting students with emotional and behavioral challenges
