Sunrise Early Intervention
Here’s How We Work
Sunrise Early Intervention services begin with a developmental evaluation provided by our qualified Early Supports and Services staff that will join you in observing and interacting with your child in a play-based assessment. The information gathered through the assessment process, along with your shared knowledge about your child’s developmental skills, will assist us in determining eligibility.
Once eligibility for the program is determined, an Individual Family Support Plan (IFSP) is written. Your service provider will assist you in initiating a course of action by providing the appropriate supports and services to address the needs of your child and family through the IFSP. The IFSP provides goals and strategies to help your child achieve their objectives. Your primary therapist or educator regularly checks the progress on these goals.
Sunrise Early Intervention uses a “transdisciplinary” approach to provide the services a child requires to enhance development in one or many areas. This means one primary therapist or educator will work with your child in all areas of development and consult with other therapists as needed to achieve their developmental milestones.
