Child Check
Ages 6 months to 6 years
Milford, Wilton, and Lyndeborough contract with RSEC to provide the federally mandated Child Find activities through the Child Check program. Half-day screenings are offered each year where parents can have their children screened to determine the potential existence of an educational disability. Children are screened in the areas of motor development, cognitive development, speech and language, vision, and hearing. Results are shared with parents and school districts. If a child is under age 3, RSEC works with the parents to screen any concerns and help them make the appropriate referrals when necessary.
